Dashboards
Overview
Dashboard provides an easy-to-read view of key performance indicators relevant to a particular objective or business process. Timeline dashboards can display a wide variety of options: charts, metrics, histograms, static data, and more. Information on dashboards can be used to drill in further on certain timelines, combined by different parameters.
The Dashboard feature displays the whole process statistics as it considers information for all timelines in the project. It allows users to drill into problem areas and identify process inefficiencies and bottlenecks. Such strategic dashboards help managers at numerous levels of an organization and provide the quick overview that decision-makers need to monitor the health and opportunities of the business.
With configured dashboards, it is easy to share diverse process statistics with others, for example, business partners or other organization departments. You can securely provide access to dashboards, as you fully control what other users will see. Dashboards are extremely useful when you want to share performance statistics with people who should not have access to the project data.
Dealing with Dashboard
Timeline offers different functionality and opportunities to interact with Dashboard. The following modes are available:
- View mode
As a viewer, you can interact with visualization elements on the dashboard, apply temporary filters, and drill deeper into the process investigation navigating to certain analysis modules in the project. Your activity permissions on a dashboard depend on the role you have in the project.
To learn more about what you can do when reviewing dashboards and general information about the workspace, see Dashboard Workspace. - Edit mode
You create and configure the dashboard, filling it with various Tiles - interactive visualization elements. After completing the dashboard configuration, you can share it with other project users, making the dashboard available for them. You can always edit your own dashboard. Also, you can change a dashboard if it is published, and you have a User role or higher in the project.
If you are here to learn more about dashboard creation, adjustment, and sharing, see Creating Dashboard.
To work with dashboards in any mode, select Dashboard in the drop-down list to the right of the project's name.
