Classifications
Overview
Classifications is a tool that allows categorizing timelines in a project based on a variety of criteria. It enables the opportunity to define traits that distinguish some process instances from others - Categories. A single classification can contain several categories. Their configuration is based on a Query, therefore it is maximally flexible and allows you to specify a lot of details even on the attribute level. Saved configurations are kept in the project and are applied to all data uploaded to this project, which makes them useful for long-term monitoring. For configuration instructions, see How to Configure Classifications.
To open the tool, click > Project configuration > Classifications.
Configured Classifications and Categories within them have the following uses:
- Data set filtering
A created classification can be applied as a filter to a timeline set. It can help you to focus your analysis activities on process instances that contain a certain pattern. For details, see Filtering timelines by Categories. - Coloring process instances in Timelines analysis module
It is an additional action that allows applying category colors to the visual timeline representations. For details, see Coloring timelines.
