Managing image enhancement profiles
Image enhancement profiles allow all necessary image transformations to be applied automatically to all uploaded images.
There are two built-in default profiles in the program:
- Photo (includes recommended enhancements for images of photographed documents)
- Scan (includes recommended enhancements for images of scanned documents)
These profiles are identical to the built-in ABBYY FlexiCapture image enhancement profiles. Their purpose is to ensure that FlexiLayouts and ABBYY FlexiLayout Studio classifiers are created using images identical to those imported into ABBYY FlexiCapture.
The built-in profiles cannot be deleted.
Custom image enhancement profiles
You can also create custom image enhancement profiles. Custom image enhancement profiles are created on an ABBYY FlexiCapture Scanning Station, on the Project Setup Station (in the case of ABBYY FlexiCapture Distributed) or on the Administrator Station (in the case of ABBYY FlexiCapture Standalone). To use a custom image enhancement profile in ABBYY FlexiLayout Studio, you must export it from a Scanning Station, from the Project Setup Station or from the Administrator Station and then import it into your FlexiLayout Studio project settings. Custom profiles are exported as XML files.
To import an image enhancement profile into ABBYY FlexiLayout Studio:
- Click Project → Project Settings... to open the Properties dialog box, click the Image Enhancement Profiles tab, and then click Import....
- Select the appropriate profile file and click Open.
You can delete or export an imported image enhancement profile, but you cannot modify a profile in ABBYY FlexiLayout Studio or view its settings. To view the settings of an image enhancement profile, open its settings on the Scanning Station, on the Project Setup Station or on the Administrator Station.
