Supported Input Formats
ABBYY FineReader Server 14 can open image and Office files in any of the following formats:
Office files
- DOC, DOCX, ODT, HTML, HTM, TXT, RTF; XLS, XLSX, ODS; PPT, PPTX, ODP:

Image files
Note. Page size is limited to 32512x32512 pixels.
- PDF:
Files in PDF format (Version 2.0 or earlier), including PDF Portfolios.
- Note. When processing PDF files that contain vector graphics, their visual quality may deteriorate, as the PDF file is rasterized and the output file contains a bitmap image.
- Note. PDFs with XFA forms cannot be imported.
- Note. PDF files that can only be opened using special plug-ins are not supported.
- Note. When opening a PDF Portfolio, all the PDF files it contains will be merged and processed. Files in other formats will be ignored.
