Saving Formats

ABBYY FineReader Server allows saving recognized text in the following formats:

  • Microsoft Word Document (*.doc, *.docx)
  • Microsoft Excel Document (*.xls, *.xlsx)
  • Microsoft PowerPoint (*.pptx);
  • Rich Text Format (*.rtf)
  • XML Document (*.xml)1
  • Alto XML Document (*.xml)1
  • PDF, PDF/A, PDF/E Document (*.pdf)
  • EPUB Document (*.epub)
  • Text Document (*.txt)
  • CSV Document (*.csv)
  • HTML Document (*.htm)
  • JSON Document (*.json)2
  • TIFF image (*.tiff)
  • JPEG image (*.jpg)
  • JPEG 2000 image (*.j2k)
  • PNG image (*.png)

You also can set that original image be moved into Output folder without conversion.

Export parameters can be specified in the Output Profile Settings dialog box, which appears when you click the New...or Edit... button on the 6. Output tab of the Workflow Properties dialog box.

When saving recognized text to PDF format, you can set passwords that will prevent the PDF document from being opened, printed or edited. See description of the PDF Security Settings dialog box for details.

1 — An XML file containing recognized text, the layout of which is described in the ExportToXml.xsd file located in the installation folder (C:\Program Files\ABBYY FineReader Server 14.0\Help by default).

2 — A JSON file containing recognized text, the layout of which is described in the ExportToJSON.json file located in the installation folder (C:\Program Files\ABBYY FineReader Server 14.0\Help by default).
