Task Mining

Task Mining will help you get an insight into your employees' interactions with the software used within your company. The basic Task Mining stages are as follows:

  • ABBYY Recorder collects raw data in the form of screen snapshots and recorded user actions (e.g. buttons clicked, text entered, etc.)
  • The collected data is uploaded into a Task Mining project, where tasks can be defined manually or identified automatically. The identified sequences of events will be associated with a specific task, such as issuing an invoice, booking a flight, or creating a support ticket.
  • The tasks can then be analyzed using any of the analysis modules offered by ABBYY Timeline.

Using Task Mining technology, you will be able to associate actual actions performed by users involved in particular business processes with their representation in information systems. This will enable you to spot time-consuming recurring tasks, analyze your processes, and spot tasks which can be successfully automated to save you time and money.
