Activating FineReader

Once you have installed ABBYY FineReader PDF, you need to activate it, otherwise the program will remain in trial mode. Working in trial mode imposes limits on the number of days for which the program can be used, as well as on the number of pages that can be exported.
Note: If you have downloaded ABBYY FineReader PDF from the App Store, you do not need to activate it manually.

To activate ABBYY FineReader PDF, do the following:

Launch the program and select one of the following in the welcome screen:

Buy now if you need to purchase a new license;
Attention: Purchasing a license requires an internet connection.
Activate to activate an already purchased license using a serial number.

In the Activation dialog, enter your serial number.
Click Activate.
Note: Once activated, ABBYY FineReader PDF will be ready for continuous use on that particular computer.

Note: ABBYY FineReader PDF can be reinstalled on the same computer any number of times without requiring another activation. However, if your computer configuration has changed, a hard drive was formatted, or the operating system was reinstalled, you may need enter your serial number again to activate the program after reinstalling.
