OCR languages

ABBYY FineReader PDF supports multi-language recognition as well as single-language recognition.

Recognition results depend greatly on the OCR language being specified correctly. If the OCR language is specified incorrectly, the recognition results will differ from the original document.

To change the OCR languages, do one of the following:

Method 1:

Navigate to the program's home screen.
Select the OCR languages from the list.

Method 2:

Open an OCR project or create a new one.
Select the OCR languages from the list.

Attention: Once you have changed the OCR languages, you need to launch document recognition.

Hint: If a document contains several different languages, select all of them.

Note: Selecting more than 5 languages at once may cause an increase recognition time and decrease its quality.
