Multi-Page Forms

In ABBYY FormDesigner, you can create multi-page forms consisting of several pages. For each page, you can specify a name and number of its copies within the form. A multi-page form description is exported to XFD format and can then be used in ABBYY FlexiCapture to create a multi-page Document Definition.

Creating a multi-page form

You can create a multi-page form based on a form sample.

Adding pages

New pages can be added to any type of form. To add a new page, select Form → Add Page or right-click the name of the page at the bottom of the form and select Insert Page. You can add either an empty page or a page based on a sample. It is also possible to add a new empty page by clicking the icon at the bottom of the form. For empty pages, settings are specified on the Empty page layout properties tab of the Tools → Options menu.

A page may occur any number of times within a form. You can set the minimum and maximum number of page occurrences in the Page Properties dialog box (Form →  Page Properties...). You can also specify a name for the current page in this dialog box.

To change the pages order, select a page at the bottom of the form and move it with drag and drop operation.

Exporting multi-page forms

Multi-page form images can be exported into any of the supported image formats. You have the option of saving each page in a separate image file or all the pages in one image file.
