Adding, Editing, and Deleting Form Elements

Once a new form has been created, you can add elements to the form and edit them.

Be sure to discuss the form design and contents with your customers before adding elements to the form.

Recommended order for adding elements to the form:

  1. setting margins
  2. adding reference marks (anchors)
  3. adding other form elements

For a form to be machine-readable it must have margins along each of its four sides. The default margin width is 10 mm. You can change the default width in the Page Properties dialog box (Form → Page Properties...Size).

The margins are shown as dashed lines on the screen. If you want the margins to be displayed on the form, select the Show margins item on the View tab of the Options dialog box (Tools → Options...).

You can specify the properties for every element.
