Distribution of Applications Which Use the ABBYY FineReader Engine Library
You developed an application using the ABBYY FineReader Engine functions inside and you want to distribute this application. In this case, you need a Runtime License for distribution. If you plan your application to work locally on a single computer, you must have a Standalone Runtime License. If your applications work in a network, you will need a Network Runtime License. The Runtime License should correspond to the Customer Project ID with which your application was compiled. Customer Project ID is passed to the methods which load FineReader Engine as one of the input parameters.
Distribution of applications using the ABBYY FineReader Engine library includes two steps:
- Installing the application and the ABBYY FineReader Engine library on the local disk of the workstation
- Activating the ABBYY FineReader Engine Library with the Runtime License
The ABBYY FineReader Engine distribution package includes the System Administrator's Guide. This guide contains complete information about local and network distribution of applications which use the ABBYY FineReader Engine library. You may also use the online version of this guide.
You may run ABBYY FineReader Engine inside native environments:
- in two separate Docker containers: with FineReader Engine and the Licensing Service.
- in Azure Services using projects and Azure Storage for processing your files.
