ABBYY Screenshot Reader is an application that enables users to create screenshots and recognize texts on them.

ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) is a device that automatically feeds pages to the scanner, enabling users to scan large numbers of documents without manual input. ABBYY FineReader 12 Sprint supports ADFs.

ADRT® (Adaptive Document Recognition Technology) is a recognition technology that improves the quality of multi-page document conversion. It detects specific elements of a document, including headings, headers, footers, footnotes, page numbering, and signatures.

Brightness is an image parameter that reflects the amount of white in an image. Increasing brightness makes the image "whiter." Specifying a suitable brightness value increases recognition quality.

dpi (dots per inch) is a measure of image resolution.

Drivers are software that controls devices connected to a computer, such as scanners and monitors.

Resolution is a measure of the resolution of an image that indicates how many dots can fit on a line of a specific length. A resolution of 300 dpi (dots per inch) should be used for texts set in 10 pt fonts and larger, while 400 to 600 dpi is preferable for texts of smaller font sizes (9 pt and less).

Scanner is a device for inputting images into a computer.

Scanning mode is a scanning parameter that determines whether an image must be scanned in black and white, grayscale, or color.

Support ID is a unique identifier of your serial number that contains information about your license and the computer on which your serial number is being used. Support IDs provide additional protection for serial numbers. You will be asked to provide your support ID when applying for technical support.
