ABBYY FineReader 12 Sprint lets you crop document pages to remove areas on the sides of a page that contain no useful information.

  1. Select the image that you want to crop.
  2. Open the EDIT IMAGE and click CROP. A frame with sizing handles appears.
  3. Drag the sizing handles so as to enclose the area of the image that you want to preserve.
You also can select one of the several standard paper sizes from the Frame size drop-down list or specify your own custom dimensions.
  4. Click the Crop button.
  5. To quit the image editing mode, click Close Image Tools.

Tip: If there are multiple images in your document that should be cropped in the same manner, position the frame on the first page so as to enclose the desired area, hold down the Ctrl or Shift key, select the other images, and then click the Crop button. ABBYY FineReader 12 Sprint will crop the selected images using the dimensions and position of the frame on the first page.

Important! If you have already saved the document before cropping, you will need to save the document again to apply the changes you made with the Crop tool. To save the document, close the image tools and click one of the buttons on the EXPORT SETTINGS pane.
