FAQ

  • What do you store in the Reporting Database?
While a document is being processed, the ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Reporting service will log all processing events and record all document editing facts. Once the processing is complete, ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Reporting will use all the gathered information to compute document processing statistics and list all the changes made to the document.
  • When will I see a processed document in the report? How long does it take for a processed document to be included in the report?
Detailed information about a processed document will be added to the Reporting Database within a few seconds after the processing is completed. To see a processed document in the report, you need to refresh the report. In the case of an XLSX report, this can be achieved by opening the report in Microsoft Excel and clicking Data -> Refresh All. The operation may take some time, depending on the size of your Reporting Database.
  • Does the reporting service affect system productivity or functionality?
The ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Reporting service will slightly slow down the operation of ABBYY FlexiCapture, increase CPU load on the computer hosting the Application Server as well as your ABBYY FlexiCapture database.
If ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Reporting becomes inaccessible, the operators working with it will notice significant slowdowns across all operations and "service unavailable errors" will appear in the Windows EventLog.
To stop information gathering for ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Reporting service, open the Administration and Monitoring Console, delete the string that contains the service address, and recycle the FlexiCapture 12 Services pool in IIS.
  • What happens if the ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Reporting service becomes inaccessible?
If ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Reporting becomes inaccessible, the operators working with it will notice significant slowdowns across all operations and "service unavailable errors" will appear in the Windows EventLog.
  • Will the reporting service support multitenancy?
Yes, ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Reporting will store information about which tenant was used to process a particular document. In the current version of the service, data for all tenants is recorded into a single database and is separated logically.
  • Can I use my customer’s reporting system?
Yes, data from the Reporting Database can be imported into your customer’s reporting system.
  • Will old reports be available?
Yes, old reports will still be available through the Administration and Monitoring Console.
  • What happens to the gathered processing data if a document is deleted before it is marked as "Processed"?
The processing data for this document will be deleted from the Reporting Database. Deleting documents that have been processed will not in any way affect the data stored in the Reporting Database.
