Recognition

Documents are recognized automatically on the Processing stations. The system selects the matching Document Definition based on anchor elements and identifiers and recognizes the data in the fields that match the fields of the selected Document Definition.

The ratio of reliably recognized characters to the total number of characters is shown in the Certainly Recognized Characters column.

If changes in the project are made during recognition and if the project includes a verification stage, the Verification Operator and the senior Verification Operator may manually re-recognize the documents using the new settings. To re-recognize the documents, start the Verification Station and select Tools → Update to Latest Version from the main menu.

Note: The following message can occur during recognition: "Cannot create \\BatchHeader.tmp". The specified file already exists." The error occurs because of Windows Search indexing service which affects working of the program. Windows Search indexing service processes files which are created in the project folder and deleted during operating of the program which causes the error. For this reason we recommend that you should disable Windows Search indexing service.
