Task Integrity

A task should be recorded in a single log entirely from start to finish. It is assumed that the user repeats a specific task several times over throughout the day and finishes the last instance of the task before the day ends. This means that both the start and end events should always be in the same log. ABBYY Timeline will not be able to recognize tasks if the start and end events are in different logs.

Logging data in version 5.0

All user activity for a specific day is recorded into a single log, with a separate log created for each new day. If the Recorder is installed in Server Managed mode, logging is automatically suspended if the user stays inactive for longer than 5-7 hours. Once user activity resumes, a new log begins to be recorded.

A new log is also recorded if logging is suspended by the user or an administrator or if the login/logoff command is used.

Logging data in version 5.1

From version 5.1 onwards, all records received throughout the day from a specific machine are recorded in a single log, even if the recording process was interrupted. A separate log is created for each day.
