The performance of any ABBYY FineReader Server installation is in direct proportion to the number of CPU cores employed for OCR, so the first thing you should consider is the number of Processing Stations and CPUs that you need for your project.
The figure below shows how performance increases as more CPU cores are added (same-type sample files were processed using the default workflow).
