ABBYY FineReader 12 Sprint allows you to scan paper books and save them as EPUB files.

  1. Feed images to the program
You can scan a book or open previously created images.
  2. Specify the language of your book
To correctly recognize text on an image, the program needs to know the language of the text.
  3. If required, split facing pages, correct perspective distortions, and rotate the pages to restore their normal orientation. This will improve the quality of text recognition. See Improving Conversion Results for more information.
  4. On the EXPORT SETTINGS pane, click the Electronic Publication (EPUB) button and specify a location on your hard drive where to save the electronic book.
Note: If there is no Electronic Publication button on the EXPORT SETTINGS pane, click Other Formats and then choose Electronic Publication from the drop-down list.
