Import Security Features In ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud

In order to securely import files using ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud, you will need to correctly set up your network.

ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud imports files using one of the following methods:

  1. Using a HotFolder or via e-mail – IMAP/SFTP server.

In this case, the import of files is initiated by ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud, which means that the user’s resources must be able to be integrated with FlexiCapture Cloud. This is done by setting up your firewall so that the outbound ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud IP addresses are added to your firewall’s whitelist for inbound connections, which might require assistance from your organization’s IT department.

A list of all Outbound IP Addresses that may be used for configuring firewalls in ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud can be found here:https://www.abbyy.com/flexicapture/outbound-ip-addresses

  1. Using ABBYY FlexiCapture Connect or the API.

In this case, the import of files is initiated by either ABBYY FlexiCapture Connect or the API, which means that you will need to set up your firewall rules for outbound connections accordingly. This might require assistance from your organization’s IT department. More information on how to do this in the Windows Firewall service can be found on the official Microsoft website.

ABBYY FlexiCapture Cloud supports the recommended TLS 1.2 encryption protocol, which is used to establish a secure connection.
