FlexiCapture Server Setup

ABBYY FlexiCapture Mobile Client is compatible with ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Distributed. For information on how to deploy ABBYY FlexiCapture, see the ABBYY FlexiCapture 12 Administrator’s Guide.

Note: The Application Server must be running and available online.

To send document images to FlexiCapture from the Mobile Client, there must be at least one project on the Application Server and users of ABBYY FlexiCapture Mobile Client must have Scanning Operator permissions for the project and batch type to which they will be sending the images. Users will also need to specify the URL of the Application Server, the name of the project, and the batch type.

When sending documents, app users will be able to select their document type. The list of document types will contain all  Document Definitions available on the Application Server for the selected project and batch type.

If there are multiple tenants using your FlexiCapture installation, app users will also need to specify a tenant name in the Company field. If you do not have multiple tenants, or if you have multiple tenants but want users to send documents to the Default Tenant, the Company field must be left blank.

Make sure that users of the application have the server's URL and other information that they will need for sending documents to FlexiCapture.

Note: To make using ABBYY FlexiCapture Mobile Client easier, avoid using long names for projects, tenants, batch types, and Document Definitions.
